When you think of Volkswagen you will most likely think of the classic beetle since it is the car that really introduced the Volkswagen logo around the world. The first Volkswagen car was designed in 1934 by Ferdinand Porsche as a method of cheap reliable transport. Through the years VW have become a global force in the manufacturing sector getting bigger and bigger with every new design. Not to long after the beetle had been created and unveiled the Golf was released. The first generation of Golf or the rabbit as it was called by the Americans was launched in 1975 and was stopped in 1984. Through the years the Golf has gone from the original square body shape and gradually over the years become streamlined and round the first Volkswagen rabbit GTI was a very square body compared to the new golf introduced in 2006. Through the years the Golf has been fitted with a bigger engine but in addition has gained more weight the biggest engine that Volkswagen released in the Golf was the impressive Golf R32 with the 3.2 V6 engine in the front. The R32 is the most powerful of the whole Golf range because it is 4wd and it has 237BHP which isn't that great for a V6 I would have expected a lot more from Volkswagen.

V-Line aerodynamic package concept used in VW Passat is based on Moonraker, also from Volkswagen lineup. Conceptualization and creation of said project took seven months to complete. However, the effort is worth it because Volkswagen Passat turned out to be an epitome of impressive synthesis. It exudes a racy aura that meets high consumer's high demands.

The Nokia Car Phone with Bluetooth Technology can access the SIM card of the compatible mobile phone and log onto the GSM network. As soon as the user gets out of the car or presses a certain button on his mobile phone, the receiving mode is deactivated and the mobile phone automatically logs back onto the mobile network.

Volkswagen designers gave the new Passat a distinct honeycombed design on the front grille to make it more striking. The middle and side grille also come in contrasting colors to give it distinct aesthetic identity. It is ideal for drivers who want a daily dose of driving adventure in a premium character plus the bold style that every driver wishes to possess.

2012 VW-Passat Ready to lounched

You can't do every other thing in this world. There will be times when your car will need a professional. At that point of time, you can keep your ego aside and take the car to a mechanic and show your volkswagen passat to him and get it repaired.
And its a good idea to befriend one of the mechanics, who can have a casual look at your used volkswagen passat car now and then, and you don't even have to pay him, other than say, buying a beer for him.
I've been studying about Volkswagen Passat and I've come to know about a few things. I felt I could share the same with you.

When it comes to buying an expensive thing such as a car, you definitely need to insure. While choosing the insurance level, you have to check out how comprehensive is that, if personal accidents, fire accidents, etc are included? And if you are insuring a car it is sensible to go for a plan wherein the injured passengers, if any, during the accident, get compensation.

Coming to the 2012 Volkswagen Passat Insurance levels

Next comes the body of the car. Always keep your used volkswagen passat clean from dirt and dust. You can do this by washing the car using soap or detergent at least once in two weeks. A regular general cleaning can save you a lot of troubles. It makes sure that you don't have to visit the service center to get it cleaned professionally and spend hundreds of dollars for the same. Use a car brush to wipe of the dust from the car body. Also important are the tires. As these gets muddy very frequently, wash them with a hose as frequently as possible. This would save your rims from getting rusted. A used volkswagen passat will rarely have a shiny body, thus give it a little polishing too.

Coming to the Volkswagen Passat Insurance levels, they vary greatly. This variation can be owed to the fact that there are a wide range of cars coming in various designs from Volkswagen. Quite a change in the image of the Volkswagen has left a great impact on its insurance levels.

2011 Volkswagen Jetta apart from everyone else

Some Jetta owners will swap parts, not a few which are interchangeable with other VW models including the Golf, Rabbit, Sirocco, Passat, etc. Yet, the fact remains that enthusiasts may be satisfied with certain parts found on eBay, at the flea market or at the salvage yard, but if they want new brakes, rotors, air pumps, fuel injectors, a catalytic converter or other new part, they would do better shopping online especially through an online retailer specializing in European car parts including Volkswagen parts.

But what sets the Jetta apart from everyone else is what can be found under the hood. Volkswagen may not win the price war, but they certainly take top honors when it comes to powertrain selection. Four engines are offered including the potent 2.5-liter five-cylinder and 2.0-liter TSI. No other car in its class offers a diesel, with the 2.0-liter TDI likely to once again offer highway fuel economy well north of 40 mpg.

Having FUn with 2010 Volkswagen Routan

All new in 2009, the Volkswagen Routan minivan has no powertrain changes for 2010. The Routan is a restyled version of the Dodge Caravan and Chrysler Town & Country, and shares their Chrysler-designed V6 engines.

Having recently exited bankruptcy and fallen under the control of the Fiat Group, Chrysler's long term product plans aren't quite clear yet. However, with their minivans still playing an important role in the market, Chrysler's long term commitment to this line seems assured. With that in mind, Volkswagen will probably remain a willing partner, perhaps choosing to add a diesel offering at some point down the line.

Volkswagen GTI refined for 2010

When Volkswagen hopped up a Golf back in 1976, it invented a niche that came to be known as the Hot Hatchback segment. With just 100 horsepower, it’s difficult now to think that was hot…but it was. Hey, it was 1976 and polyester, John Travolta and the BeeGees were cool, too.
http://graphics8.nytimes.com/images/2009/03/26/automobiles/480-vw-rabbit.jpg
With leisure suits now just a bad dream, the new sixth-generation VW Golf GTI that hits our shores in October as a 2010 model, is just as hot. That makes it pretty cool.

The new GTI , which will make its formal U.S. debut at the New York Auto Show in a couple of weeks, is no longer the power player in the segment if all you’re counting is horsepower. No, the MazdaSpeed3 cranks out 273 hp, while the new GTI makes 200 hp from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four cylinder.

You’re correct if you say that this car has the same power as the outgoing model. What makes this new GTI worth talking about is the refinement VW engineers have worked into the car’s handling, not to mention the updates to the interior and exterior.

Unfortunately, U.S. buyers will not be able to get several features available on European-spec cars, like Dynamic Chassis Control that allows for three settings– comfort, normal and sport–of the car’s shock absorbers. Other items like dynamic cruise control will also not make it to the States. HID headlights, standard on the outgoing model, will be optional on the new car.

The U.S. VW folks say they kept the standard equipment list limited in order to keep down the cost of the three- or five-door hatch (the five-door is a $500 option). But the standard feature list is quite high, so don’t think all the models we get will be strippers. Official prices were not released at our initial test drive, but expect the car to start around $24,000, making it relative bargain in the front-drive sporty market.

So while this new GTI looks much like the fifth-generation car, every body panel (save for the roof) is different. The interior, likewise, is further refined with a better-looking center stack and chrome-trimmed gauge cluster. And yes, the plaid cloth seats are still part of the package. Some things from the ’70s just never go out of fashion.

The base transmission is a six-speed automatic with a six-speed dual-clutch tranny as an option. VW says a seventh gear, available on other VW models, is not necessary here because of the engine’s 207 lb-ft of torque. We sampled them and like both for different reasons. But if we’re headed to our garage, we’d save the $1,200 (approximately) on the DSG and spend it elsewhere…the six-speed manual is damn good.
